The EVO was the first 4G phone, and developers have shifted it into a new style with the EVO Shift 4G.

The EVO Shift is one the new phones on the Now Network with Sprint, their third 4G phone. It uses the Android OS with SENCE.

With this phone, they have added a slide QWERTY keyboard and a smaller interface. Even with taking the front facing camera off, this is still the EVO in all its awesomeness.

The only con I have found is the battery life — it’s short even when the phone is idle. They do have a feature, however, that allows you to see what eats up your battery. I noticed that the display takes anywhere from 40-80 percent. Turning the backlight time and the brightness down is a simple fix.

This is is an overall great phone. With all the bells and whistles of a smart phone and the Android software, I give this phone a 9.3 out of 10.

I even typed this column straight from my EVO Shift.
